Welcome to LA Creator, an ongoing Junk Food Journal series that spotlights emerging influencers that you’ll only meet on the mean streets of Southern California. Let’s get inspired!

Sage Humphries is a 21-year-old singer, songwriter, model and ballerina. Hailing from Seal Beach, California, she’s now currently based in Boston where she’s studying to be a criminal psychologist and working as a dancer with the Boston Ballet.

At age seven, she launched her fledgling modeling career with national campaigns for Target, Gap and Pottery Barn. Then, at 14, she signed with Ford Modeling in LA and two years later, she went to New York to break into high-end fashion. With a new haircut and a bit of attitude, she booked editorial spreads in V Magazine, W and Italian Vogue, and an ad campaign with designer Roberto Cavalli.

“I moved to NYC for Fashion Week,” she said. “I thought I was only going to stay for a week but I ended up staying for a year-and-a-half. It was a crazy whirlwind.”
